Story
I have taken on the challenge of running the 2019 Virgin London Marathon. I am raising money for Bliss, who are the leading UK charity that raise money for babies born premature and sick. I want to make a real difference to the 95,000 babies born premature or sick every year.
When I was born, not many people know, that I was premature myself. I was born at 28 weeks (3 months early), weighing just 2.8 ounces. I was clothed in dolls clothes because of how tiny I was and remained in hospital for the first 3 months. I was in and out of hospital after this for the first year of my life, due to problems associated with being born so early.
My family know first hand what organisations like Bliss can do to help those family's with premature or sick babies. Every donation that’s made to this page will bring Bliss closer to ensuring that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life; just like I did.
Bliss does that by supporting parents to care for their babies, campaigning for better neonatal care and enabling life-changing research. Any donation you could give, no matter how big or small will benefit so many families.
Thank you, Tania. x
