This is my third hike for MacMillan.  It started as a challenge with my sister Debbie in 2019 and we did it!  Little did we know that a year later my Mum would need their help when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer just 2 days after our second walk in September 2020. We had just 7 more weeks with her.  This years walk will be a very poignant one for us and I can feel the emotions in me as I write my story.  We are grateful for the love and kindness that everyone showed us during that time and for the support from MacMillan.  It is great to have the opportunity to raise funds to help others too.  

Many of you have donated on previous years and we don't want to keep asking the same people so this year we have been raising funds by decluttering our houses and of course Mums.  We are grateful for all support whether it is financial or just cheering us on, on the day. Don't underestimate how much a message of encouragement means on the day.  It is a tough challenge.
