Story
'No one puts their child in a boat unless the water is safer than the land.' - from 'Home' by Somali-British poet Warsan Shire.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! Every little helps, so please donate if you can.
As you know, many people have been and are being forced to put themselves and their loved ones in danger in order to flee their homes, making terrifying and often fatal journeys across land and sea. As family after family is torn apart by this crisis, we need to get ourselves together and help in any way we can. If you donate today, your money will go directly to feeding, clothing and caring for men, women and children who are suffering in ways no living thing deserves.
It only takes a moment to donate through JustGiving and it's totally secure; your details are safe and you won't receive any spam whatsoever. Your donation goes straight to Refugee Action, and doing it via JustGiving actually cuts costs for the charity itself.
Thank you very much!
UPDATE 8th April 2016
“We are incredibly grateful for the fundraising effort Tamsin has made on behalf of Refugee Action. Unfortunately due to an administrative error, we did not actually register Tamsin in time for the London Marathon, and the organisers were unable to accept a late booking from Refugee Action. Showing just how determined a fundraiser Tamsin is, she has since taken it upon herself to take on an even more ambitious challenge instead, the Madrid Marathon, which takes place on the same day as the London Marathon!
We are so very proud of what she is doing, and thankful to all that have supported her fundraising efforts. Thank you all.
