Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I am taking part in a sponsored trek to Everest base camp to raise money for victims of the Pakistan earthquake, which struck north Pakistan and Kashmir in October 2005. Thousands of people lost their lives and many more thousands were left homeless. A large number of the fatalities were young children, killed as their schools collapsed on top of them.

The money raised by this trek will be spent on building and equipping a school in northern Kashmir. Islamic Relief are planning on building hundreds of schools in the area to help the next generation have a chance of helping themselves out of poverty. They offer free education to children who would otherwise never have the opportunity. Many of these children have lost most of their families, so it's imperative that we offer them any support we can.

Please show your support and make a difference to their lives by donating to this noble cause.

The trek is due to take place in November/December 2006 and runs for about 2 weeks. To show my support for this cause not only will I be taking part but I'll be financing my own travel expenses.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. Islamic Relief will receive  your money direct and, if you're a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
