Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Tamworth Green Watch will attempt to complete Welsh 3000 challenge on 3rd of May 2023 to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. Some of the Watch members have used The Fire Fighters Charity services in the past and are very thankful for the fantastic services they provide.

In order to complete the Welsh 3000s Challenge we are required to have been at the top of all 15 of the mountains over 3000 ft in Wales within the space of 24 hours, without using any form of transport.

The length is about 24 miles, but the walks to the start point and down from the finish point can take it to over 30 miles in total.

The walk is also known as "The 14 Peaks" (although there are officially 15 peaks).

About the charity

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong health & wellbeing support for the UK fire & rescue community, empowering individuals and families to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives.
