Just over 12 months ago my beautiful families lives were changed.
My eldest son Brett who was 19 at the time was diagnosed with a large brain tumour the size of a tennis ball. When the doctor was explaining what they had found all I could see was his mouth moving, everything he was saying to me meant I could be about to lose my beautiful boy to this and I was not going to let that happen.
In July he underwent a 13 hour operation AWAKE to remove what they could, they managed about 90% resection. It was confirmed to be a grade 3 tumour.
He has since undergone radiotherapy and continues chemotherapy as I write this and for the rest of this year.
My boy is the bravest person I know and he is wearing a smile most days, even when he is so tired.
I have never felt so useless as a mum, no tissue or cough syrup will help this, only serious research can help my boy this time so here I am doing what any mum would do in this position, I am asking you to donate so research can be done to help treat my son and all the other people who need this too. Thankyou for taking time to read our story, Tamara xx
