I'm not running this event for anyone in particular, simply because it is a great cause and I guess somewhat inspired by the story of Stephen Sutton, who has been in the news pretty much every day this week with his inspirational story.

Cancer touches the lives of most people these days - I lost my Grandmother to Ovarian Cancer in 2002 and remember everything she went through and how it affected the whole family.  Having seen her go from a fit and healthy lady to her final days in just 6 months if just raising a small amount can help find a cure/make someone's final days more peaceful then it's all worth it.

My running partner for this event is my 2 year old GSD dog Ziggy.  We are currently enjoying a training programme building us up to the 5k - on the day he will be donning his own pink accessories to get into the spirit of it all!

In the 10 weeks that we have to prepare I will share some pics and videos of our journey to the 5k so that you can share the experience with us - ending of course in some before and after pics on the day!
