Two years ago, my friend Paola died of lung cancer, without ever having smoked a day in her life. She left behind her husband, Neil, daughter, Jasmine, and son, Cristiano.  She passed away the day after Cristiano's first birthday. 

Paola spent her final hours in comfort and with dignity in the care of staff at St Peter's Hospice, Bristol.
