Story
It was a cold and dreary Tuesday morning when Eden's MD popped his head into the office and asked who would be interested in falling 10,000 feet from a moving aeroplane. After a brief moment of silence, the clattering of keyboards resumed as the idea was dismissed by most. However, two interests were piqued. Jump out of a plane, you say? Experience one of the most exhilarating adrenaline rushes ever, you say? Raise money for charity, you say? Let's talk more.
Now it is two weeks later and places are booked, this is it, we're going up. And then coming rather rapidly back down. Mixed in with the fear, anticipation, dread, excitement, terror and anxiety (to name but a few of the emotions wreaking havoc within us) is also a spark of pride that we are able to raise both funds and awareness for such a great charity*. And of course, it gets us out of the office for the day.
So how can you help? Well, by donating of course! We are hoping to raise 1,000 whole British pounds. Dig deep, open those coffers, find some coppers down the back of the sofa - every little helps. In return we will selflessly step out of a moving aircraft for your amusement and enjoyment. There may be photographic evidence available after the event. If you're lucky.
Spread the word, share with your friends, shout it from the mountain tops. A Lion and a Spring Bok joining forces - this is something you don't want to miss.
* #RestartRugby is the official charity of the Rugby Player's Association and is dedicated to supporting professional players suffering from serious injury, illness or hardship. Our players give everything for club and country but their lives can change in an instant. Should the worst happen, Restart Rugby is there to provide financial, practical and emotional support, helping with the cost of medical treatment, rehabilitation and career transition. We also provide a counselling service for players and their families during their darkest times.
