Story

This January Talents are having a Tapathon where we will tap dance for an hour non stop, in order to raise money for three different charities on behalf of The Heather Deeks Charitable Foundation: Macmillan, Cancer Research & St Luke's (Basildon & District). This being the Macmillan page.

Heather Deeks was a caring individual who was a valued part of Talents for a long time. She carried out a number of duties on behalf of the stage school, including doing the sound at shows every year, and attending weekly practices to lend a hand, and bring a smiles to those around her, forming close friendships in the process.

Unfortunately in May 2013, Heather was diagnosed with terminal cancer and lost her battle in July 2014, devastating all the people she had had an impact on. Whilst she was dealing with this horrible disease, there were three main charities that really helped her deal with the issues she and her family faced: Macmillan, Cancer Research & St Lukes (Basildon & District)
