We will do whatever it takes to help you live life as fully as you can
Story
When I met my mate Bucko at the start of the 2009 Birdfair, I congratulated him on the success of his sponsored bike ride from the Isle of White to The Isle of Aarran . “ So what are you topping that with for 2010 ?” I enquired, “ Cycling from to , over the top of the “ came his usual cheery reply. “You must be mad! Who’s going to do that with you?” . That’s when I noticed his mile wide grin ....... “ You are !” came the reply.
So that’s how I got roped into this. I was over 50, over weight and well on the wrong side of fitness. But still, there’s nothing like a good challenge to get you off your backside. I then thought, ’if I’m going to do this, others need to suffer as well’, so I got my cousin Rob signed up. I then decided that whilst doing this I was also going to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer support. My has raised a lot of money over the years for this great cause and I decided it was now my turn.
I know money is tight for all of us at the moment but every little helps, for me to reach my target figure, and for MacMillan to keep on helping everyone who’s lives are shattered by cancer. So please give whatever you feel you can spare, and on behalf of myself and MacMillan, a great big THANKYOU!
