After the misfortune of winning a spray tan in a charity raffle, I have decided to go ahead and get it.  Why would you want to make yourself look like a complete idiot and suffer ridicule and humiliation you might ask? The answer is simple, cancer affects most people either as a relative, friend or patient at some point in their lives.  To face cancer takes strength, guts and courage over an unpredictable and sometimes never ending period of time.  A spray tan will make me look like a plonker for a week and in doing so I have the opportunity to raise money for a charity that is helping to find cures and treatments for a variety of cancers.  Unlike being a friend, relative or patient with cancer, no strength, guts or courage are required in getting a spray tan - just a few drinks, a thick skin and knowing I have support from my friends and family as demonstrated through making a donation on this page.
