Derek has been an incredible inspiration to us all, professionally and personally. He was always putting others first. And one of his greatest frustrations about his cancer was that it put pressure on those around him.

In his final week, the League of Friends provided support and accommodation on-site at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. This allowed Derek to have 24/7 love and care from his family. At least two of us could be with him at all times. It meant he was never alone.

To give money to them so that other families may be helped is the best way to remember such a tremendous man.
