Our poor planet is in dire need of attention, love and care before the damage we’ve done is at a level beyond repair. I’ve always had a keen interest in animals and their welfare, a level of compassion that has helped me become vegan and more eco-friendly and a longing to help, do good and be better for the planet and everything that lives on it.

I’m also an avid walker. It’s something that’s helped me through the strange year we’ve had and it really picked me up out of a low when nothing else seemed possible. I started with an hour walk here and there and have increased to doing 12k at least 5 times a week. I’ve found my true love in nature and I not only want, but need, to give something back.

I’ve set myself the challenge of walking 400km (249miles) throughout February (locally, of course). This equates to 14.3km every day. It’s a lot of walking but I recently spent a fair amount on some vegan, cruelty free, carbon neutral walking boots so it’s about time I got my money’s worth and gave them a proper test 🥾😉
