CDI is a student-led charity implementing innovative development initiatives in the wider community of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, alongside our local partners, Kite DSM. Our projects include Sanitation (WaSH), Health, Education, and Entrepreneurship!

Story

CDI is thrilled to host our third 24-hour run to raise money for our projects this summer in Tanzania! Volunteers from across the projects - Health, Education, Entrepreneurship, and WaSH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), as well as the Committee and alumni - will all be involved! From 5PM on Friday 7 August to 5PM on Satuday 8 August, there will always be someone running somewhere around the world. Please help us however you can!

Join the facebook event to be kept up-to-date about which runners are setting off when!

Given the Coronavirus pandemic has halted our travel plans, we have had to adjust to online working. However our partners in Tanzania, Kite Dar es Salaam, have taken the initiative and will be implementing improvements to WaSH facilities in schools in Vingunguti, a community we have worked in for the past 7 years, and providing workshops on soap making.

Our project directors are also continuing to strategise for future impactful projects.

We hope this money will go a long way to support the immediate and long term work of CDI and Kite Dar es Salaam!
