Story

**************************************************************************

Edit: Well, I got my PB (just!) with a time of 1:58:53. Fantastic race with a great finish in the Madejski Stadium! The knee held out fine. Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored me and offered encouragement leading up to the race. If you'd still like to donate, there is time to do so now!

****************************************************************************

On Sunday 20th March 2011 I will be running the Reading Half Marathon in support of the Alzheimer's Society.

As well as having a go at beating my half marathon PB (currently standing at 1:59:15) I am hoping to raise at least £300 for this very worthy cause. Having seen my grandmother struggle with dementia for several years, and finally succumb to Alzheimer's disease in 2009, I fully endorse the magnificent work done by the Alzheimer's Society in supporting people with dementia, and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you for your support!
