Hi everybody!

Please sponsor me, and a couple others, to run 10km on the 6th June

The event will take place near and around Platt Fields, Manchester, so feel free to come and support the runners.

The money raised will go towards Raleigh International. This is a UK charity that encourages people from all, but especially disadvantaged, backgrounds to volunteer overseas. Volunteers will work on sustainable community and environmental projects.

I have been granted an award and will be earning to pay for the expenses of my travel to India, so all the money fundraised will be going towards the charity and towards the projects themselves. I have and will be doing a few more cake sales until I leave on the 27th June.

 

Projects could include: installing a water system into a village which has never  had running water; working on a rain-water harvesting system or sanitation project; or involvement with building projects, such as the construction of schools, libraries or medical centres.
