Story
Most people know me as the funny young lady with my walking stick, u can see me one day using a stick and later that day in a wheelchair. I'm used to people saying "I'm drunk "or "putting it on " but they don't know me.
I was diagnosed with M.S at the age of 19. I lost the use of the right side of my body like a stroke. After several years the progression of the illness forced me to be retire from work at the age of 27. My life changed dramatically.
My Lewis described it best by telling his school friends by saying " my Mum has scares on her brain that stops the messages getting to her legs or body to work properly!"
The Centre helped myself and my family to adjust our lives to cope with this dibilating condition. I met other people battling with the condition, with their own positive attitude and outlook on life. The Centre offered frienship and knowledge, access to upto date knowledge and trials, complimentary therapies; which I now base my life philosophy on.
I wish to raise some money to pay them back for everything they have done for me and For them to continue to keep supporting others like myself.
