Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Gavin was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2013 and he is currently being cared for at the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Glasgow. Far from giving up, Gavin continues to fight this disease with an incredible positive approach and he has been supported from day 1 by the Euan MacDonald MND research centre based at Edinburgh University.

MND is a debilitating disease that generally strikes at random middle age. It leads to muscle weakness and ultimately paralysis. There are currently no effective treatments or cure. Researchers at the Euan MacDonald Centre aim to develop new approaches to slow, stop and, ultimately reverse this devastating disease.

It is Gavin's wish that all funds raised are donated to the Euan MacDonald Centre for MND research.
