Story
From Monday 1 February until Sunday 7 February 2021 SolidariTee's is having it's 'Week of Action'. During this week of action, a number of volunteers will be running, walking and cycling a collective 1157km, which is the same distance as the treacherous journey that refugees from the ethnic group 'The Rohingya' have made from Myanmar to Bangladesh. 'The Rohingya', a minority in Myanmar where forced to flee ethnic violence in 2017, and as of now are forced to survive in extremely basic conditions in camps in Bangladesh.
Volunteers from all across the world will be joining together to walk, run, or cycle part of this journey throughout the week of 1-7 February, with every penny raised being used to fund the grants which SolidariTee has pledged to 6 NGOs providing vital legal aid to refugees and asylum seekers in Greece. I, myself will walk and maybe even cycle as much as I can during this week, and record my efforts on the Strava App.
Please feel free to make a contribution to my fundraising effort if you like.
