Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Some of you may be aware that I took advantage of the quieter roads during the height of lockdown to take my cycling to new and exciting levels. Having now clocked up over 2,500 miles over the past year I've decided to put this new hobby to good use by signing up for the London to Brighton charity bike ride (Sunday 19th September).
I chose the mental health charity "Mind" because they provide an invaluable service in giving advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. A vital service considering that often the main obstacle to tackling mental health is connecting those that need support to the services available to them.
They also campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding. Their range of services include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, counselling and befriending.
The health impact of the Global Pandemic and isolation brought upon by national lockdowns has brought mental health into even sharper focus and I'm hoping that this lockdown-inspired hobby can help in some way to support those in need.
Barclays will match fund the total personal donations I raise (up to a max of £1,000).
