Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This summer, I, along with several other healthcare students,
will be travelling out to the rural areas of Bangladesh with a charity organisation called Selfless. We will be setting up several health camps, providing access to free medical attention and treatments to the local destitute populations.
Despite Bangladesh being one of the most densely populated
countries in the world, unfortunately over 60% of the population have no access to healthcare. It is very easy to forget, that these are real life people – including mothers & children, with real life health problems, problems that we most definitely would take for granted due to the sheer ease of access to healthcare. I believe these people, who are mere victims of circumstances, should also be given the opportunity to have their basic healthcare needs met.
All money raised will be going towards the costs of setting up the health camps, including the presence of local doctors and the provision of medical supplies. ‘Baby packs’ for new and expecting mothers will also be distributed.
(Additional expenses, such as air fares, will be covered separately.)

With your valued donations, we can begin to make a
difference. No donation is too small and will ultimately go a long way in to making a positive contribution to the lives of the Bangladeshi people.
Thank you!
