Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group is a group of volunteers who befriend and support refugees and those seeking asylum. We manage a hostel for homeless asylum seekers while they gather evidence towards their claim. Asylum seekers have a very limited income. Some have no recourse to public funds and have no income for food, toiletries or other essentials like mobile credit or internet access. SWVG teachers English to asylum seekers, works with solicitors to further asylum claims and works with other Southampton refugee charities as well as campaigning against the anti-refugee Bill. 

Several SWVG supporters are sharing this justgiving page. We are completing our own 2021 challenges. Liz, Claudia and Sue are each setting a long distance target to be walked over several weeks.
