My grandad died earlier this year from dementia. For me, it was a ripple-effect, as my step dad, being his eldest son, experienced it much more directly. Seeing someone deteriorate from the person you always knew, and the light it takes from them, is devastating.

I hear "dementia" so much more as i get older and, it needs essential research and funding. SWM wanted to embark on their first team charity event and, with another team member loosing their mom to dementia this year, we wanted it to represent something genuine. 

I don't even own a pair of walking boots but I have been in training since February! Please reward this by giving generously ;p
