Story

Final update:

Due to an error on my part in forgetting to submit our forms to L&G to request that they match a portion of the money raised as they very kindly offered to do I have been unable to give a final total. Now though they have donated £500 to both myself and Lisa taking our total to £2350!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved and also a massive thank you to L&G for their generous donation as well.

Dan

So here it is, in 5 days time myself (Dan Pierce), Sam Farnfield and Andy Dakin will be setting out from Cardiff with the aim of cycling to Paris over 5 days. Now fully recovered from the smash that caused the postponement last September and the three of us armed with new bikes the excitement is starting to build. The itinerary is as follows:

Saturday June 7th we will be riding out from Cardiff to Swindon which is about 83 miles followed by Swindon to London on the Sunday. Monday is the last British leg from London to Newhaven where we will have a good meal and jump on the overnight ferry to Dieppe.

Once off the boat in Dieppe at approx 4am Tuesday morning we are going to continue our ride with straight away with a 65 mile leg to Gisors where we hope to arrive at about midday. Wednesday is our last leg from Gisors to Paris where we hope to arrive under the Eiffel Tower at about 1400!

About the charity

A £35 donation would pay for a week's Speech and Language Therapy for 1 child with Down's Syndrome. One of the greatest barriers for children with Down's syndrome in assessing their local community is difficulty with Speech and Language.
