Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having learnt to swim 9 years ago and subsequently being inspired by some amazing friends I am planning to swim 21 miles across the English Channel in just my speedos (no wetsuits allowed!) in July 2020 to help the Snowdrop Trust. Snowdrop have given an unimaginable amount of help to my great nephew Jude and his family. Jude was born a couple of years ago but sadly suffered a brain injury shortly after birth. He has been left with significant disabilities but is afforded a quality to his life because of the love of his family and the help they receive from the Snowdrop team. They are always there at the end of the phone sorting out medication problems, sending play nurses to visit providing much needed respite, helping financially with gift cards, arranging days out for the whole family, providing an amazing Christmas party - the list is endless. They make life as normal as it can be - as normal as people like me take for granted. Swimming the channel is a challenge for sure - but I will be putting in but a fraction of the effort all of those around Jude. Please please donate to snowdrop and help me to help them to help Jude and hundreds of young children (and their families) like him. Thank you!
