At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Dear friends,

Hullo!  I'm raising pennies for the Alzheimer's Society, the charity for which I'm training at the moment to swim the Channel next year.

Like my 2012 cycle the length of Britain, and my 2013 run the length of Ireland, this is in memory of my mother.  The swim makes it a bit of a triathlon, you see.

I'm very grateful that we were able to launch this appeal in Boodle's on the 19th December.  78 people kindly came, and we raised £3,000 to launch the appeal.

There will be a St Patrick's Day charity dinner in the Garrick Club, on 17th March.

I'm grateful for donations large and small, but particularly large donors will be spared photographs of me in my speedos.

with all very best wishes, and many thanks to all of you,

Paddy
