Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I decided to do this after seeing an advert for Swim22, which is swimming 22 miles in 12 weeks. I wanted to do it for something local & one of my grandchildren suggested doing it for Freya. This is such a worthy cause and will get me fitter at the same time, win win!! Please take the time to read Freya's story below -
2 minutes of your time could make a lifetimes difference to Freya's. So please read her fundraising story!
Please help us give Freya a pain free childhood and maybe the chance to one day to take her first step out of her wheelchair.
Freya is 8 years old and was born with Cerebral palsy, two holes in her heart and fought through 4 major operations in her short life. She also has to use a wheelchair everyday of her life but still finds the time and a smile to boss me (Daddy) about.
Freya has undergone SDR surgery on her spine in Jan 2018. This has released a good proportion of the tightness in her muscles immediately removing the daily pain Freya was in and also Improving her speech.
Freya now requires many years of intense post op physiotherapy at a cost of £240 per week. This along with the SDR operation is not funded by the NHS.
Hopefully our fundraising efforts will provide the essential physiotherapy, specialist equipment, adaptations and any other required therapy activities for Freya. With help from yourselves you will be supporting the next chapter in her life and giving her the best possible quality of life which she most rightly deserves.
So this is where you come in!
Any donations big or small will make a difference to Freya's life. So please help us help My Little Freya! Whether its helping the family with a fundraising event, donating prizes and nik naks to raffle off or a monetary donation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
