Story

On 9 July I will be competing in the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim race - a 46km swim race around the island of Manhattan. The course starts at Battery Park, heads up the East River, into the Harlem River and finally down the Hudson. I'm hoping to finish in around 8 hours, subject to the currents, water temperature, chop and flotsam and jetsam!

I'm doing the swim in support of the suicide prevention charity "Samaritans". In developed countries suicide is the leading cause of death among young men. Any donations, regardless of size, will be very gratefully appreciated.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.

Many thanks for your support.

Paul
