Story
I’m going to write from the heart here; when someone is facing a life limiting diagnosis it feels like the ground beneath your feet falls away. Everything you felt certain of, is suddenly uncertain.
What gets you through in these times are the layers of support around you. To quote a friend; imagine these layers like the rings of an onion around the person with the illness. Those closest to the centre need to lean out on the rings surrounding them for support to cope.
Hospiscare is one of those rings, supporting the families in the centre of such an emotional and vulnerable time. If our local hospice doesn’t receive £1 million of funds before the end of March, they will need to cut services. I know there is some much going on in the world, I implore you not to forget the charities closest to home quietly supporting us when we need them. Im just going to keep swimming.
Thank you <3
