Story
This year, I'm taking part in a Macmillan Cancer Walk in memory of my dear friend Scott and in celebration of my mum, who had her own battle this past year.
Scott tragically lost his life after a short but fierce battle with cancer earlier this year. He was full of life, with a kind heart, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him. Losing him so suddenly has left a deep void, but I’m determined to honour his memory by supporting a cause that works tirelessly to fight this terrible disease.
At the same time, I’m walking to celebrate my mum, who has shown incredible strength and resilience during her fight against lung cancer. She faced her diagnosis with courage, and thankfully, being the absolute warrior she is, she is now in recovery. Her story gives me hope, and I want to raise awareness for others who are going through similar battles.
By joining this walk, I'm not only paying tribute to Scott and my mum, but I’m also supporting Macmillan’s incredible work. They provide essential care and guidance to people affected by cancer, offering comfort during some of the hardest moments in life. Every step I take is a step towards a future with more survivors and fewer families suffering the pain of loss.
If you can, please support me by donating to this vital cause. Your generosity will help Macmillan continue their life-changing work and make a difference for those facing cancer.
Together, we can walk towards hope, healing, and a cure.
Thank you for your support!
