Story
I have always been in awe of the runners who undertake the challenge of the ten in ten. Running one marathon is a massive undertaking but running 10 marathons in 10 days on a super challenging course is something altogether different.....and something that has had me entranced for the past few years.
This year gave me the opportunity to apply as after having my baby girl I was going to have the flexibility with work to complete the challenge if I was selected thanks to maternity leave. So......I applied and was accepted!!!
On Friday 14th May 2021 this dream will become a reality when I tow the start line for marathon one of ten. I will be tested to the limit both physically and mentally.
I will be raising as much money as possible for the Brathay Trust, a fabulous charity that work toward improving the life chances of children and young people in the UK.
I am absolutely delighted to be selected to take part in this challenge but I know I will need the support from all of you to keep me going. The challenge itself will be epic but the training is going to be a massive undertaking too. Finding motivation to train on cold winter mornings when it is dark and uninspiring to lace up my trainers and get out there will be tough but the donations and messages of support will give me much needed kick up the butt.
I am under no illusion as to how tough this is going to be, this will be the hardest challenge I have ever undertaken. I greatly appreciate any donation you can spare.
