Story
This March a group of British Universities will be taking on an endurance challenge to raise money for the Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team (AFPST).
The challenge runs across a 24 hour period, with members of select universities snowsports clubs and Officer Training Corps units, skiing and snowboarding continuously for 24 Hours in teams at Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre from 19:00 5th March to 19:00 6th March.
This fundraiser was founded by Bath Snowsports in 2019. Now in it’s second year the event is set to grow
and with more universities invited to participate the event is being run by Wasteland Ski and WE Events. The event for spectators will take place on 6th March from 07:00 to 21:00. This year’s event will have increased activities and entertainment for both riders and spectators so a fun 24-hours can be had by all.
The AFPST, an independent charity, that uses the restorative and transforming power of para-snowsports to accelerate and support the recovery and welfare of wounded, injured and sick military personnel and veterans, will be assisting with event infrastructure. The charity hopes the event will raise the profile of its valuable work and help to raise much-needed funds.
Please help us to raise as much money as possible by sponsoring our participants and supporting them at the event!
