Story
Stan was born with allergies that initially showed up as eczema but it was when he began weaning that the severity of his allergies became obvious after multiple reactions and hospital admissions. At one point Stan was allergic to 9 allergens but thankfully this has now reduced to 5. Stan is a brave, funny and fun loving boy who doesn't allow his allergies to define him but whose daily life is affected by them and he has to take extra care at all times. It's vital that Stan has access to his inhaler, piriton and epipens at all times and getting support and information about allergies can be very difficult. That is where
Anaphylaxis UK comes in (previously Anaphylaxis Campaign). Stan's mum Suzie and her close friend Beccy are taking part in a 22 mile trek over the Jurassic Coast to raise money for the charity to support the invaluable work they do. Please give generously.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK wide charity solely focused on supporting people at risk of severe allergic reactions. Anaphylaxis (pronounced ana-fill-ax-is) is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction that can be fatal. Severe symptoms such as a swollen tongue, difficulty breathing or becoming unconscious usually develop suddenly, often within minutes after being exposed to an allergy trigger such as a particular food, latex, insect stings or certain drugs.
