Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In February I'm going to a  village in Ethiopia for a year to train local teachers. It's part of VSO's education development programme there, which aims to improve the quality of education and make it more available to everyone.

The village I'm going to, Gilgel Beles, is in one of the poorest regions of the country and is extremely remote - 120kms from the nearest asphalt road, 4-5 hours from the nearest big town and over a day from the capital. I'm going on my own and will be the only volunteer there, so it's going to be tough. But it's also going to be amazing - I'm going to learn so much and hopefully, make a real difference with the work I'm going to do - so I can't wait!

The work is voluntary, and as part of my commitment to the project I have to raise money to fund the programme work. If you could support me I would be extremely grateful. Any donation, large or small would very appreciated.
