We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Mick and I are running the Cambridge Half Marathon this year to raise money for Dementia UK.

This is going to be a huge challenge for us; we have not run further than 10k for over 30 years, however we have started training and are determined to complete the challenge in the year we have both turned 60!

Many of you will know how dementia has affected our family, which is the reason we have chosen to support this charity.

Dementia is one of the main causes of disability later in life, ahead of cancer, cardiovascular disease and stroke. As a country we spend much less on dementia than on these other conditions.

Please help us to raise as much as possible in the hope that one day soon a cure may be found.
