Before telling you about my motivation for this challenge, I'd like to say that I am aware of the differing opinions about these sponsored events. So please be assured that I am self funding the whole base cost of this trip with regular payments into my just giving page which will be visable. Now - as many of you will be aware both my parents have recently passed away and my Mum spent has last few weeks saying her goodbyes from her bed at the wonderful St Barnabas. Neither of my parents wanted a funeral, so I think in the back of my mind I have been looking for a way to do something positive in their memories and at the same time hopefully bring a sense of closure that has been missing. This challenge was sent to me and I just had to do it!  

After v3 years of waiting due to Covid and a change of trek (now in the Grand Canyon) Di and I are off on 7th May !!
