Story
Avon has been speaking out against gender-based violence for 15 years and is committed to ending domestic abuse whether its physical, psychological or economic.
For 16 Days of Activism 2019, Refuge and Avon are launching a ground-breaking campaign called #SpeakOutListenUp to raise awareness about gender based violence and vital funds for Refuge's pioneering work.
Research from Avon indicates 38% of abuse victims are unsure where to seek help and 60% do not believe their claims will be taken seriously. We want people to speak out against domestic abuse and listen up when their friends and family share their stories.
I am fundraising to help Avon reach its £16,000 fundraising goal and to be part of Avon and Refuges mission to ensure that violence against women and girls is no longer tolerated or ignored.
Please donate and share my page help me to speak out and encourage others to listen up.

Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.
