I've watched the London Marathon so many times on the TV, in total awe and amazement and felt compelled to enter the general ballot last year not thinking for a moment that I'd gain a place. Well I did and here I am!

This is going to be such an enormous personal challenge. It's not going to be fast, and the finishing photo (yes I WILL finish!) is not going to be pleasant. 

I'm raising funds for a local charity where every single penny will make a difference in helping terminally ill local children and their families .
