Story
You may have seen the headlines in the national newspapers that former glamour girl Suzanne Mizzi died following a battle with ovarian cancer. She was 43 and a very good friend of mine, married to Frank and mother to their two beautiful children; Geo 7 and Sienna 6. Suzanne passed away at St Joseph's Hospice in Hackney, East London following a brave, year-long fight against the disease.
During her heyday, in the 80’s she was one of the biggest names in the glamour industry and made the uncommon crossover from glamour to catwalk. Signing for the Storm model agency she became the face of Vivienne Westwood and her body was insured for £11 million. Her lucrative contracts included one worth £400k for a lingerie campaign for High Street retailer Dorothy Perkins.
Following her retirement from modeling, Suzanne became a successful artist and interior designer, her abstract paintings sold for up to £10,000.
Suzanne was laid to rest in beautiful surroundings, which were natural and organic, just the way she was.
Many paid tribute to Suzanne, but I think Frank said it best “She was a model, celebrity, artist and interior designer. She had an amazing life. We were together for 30 years. Suzanne was a beautiful person inside and out”.
On the 17th September I am participating in a sky dive in honour of Suzanne Mizzi and all proceeds will be donated to St Joseph’s Hospice. So please help support my cause by donating.
Wish me luck and many thanks for your support.
