Story
I hate running...but I love this charity!
For those of you who know me, you know I'm no athlete, I never have been and I never will. 5 months on from Covid I'm still facing challenges with my breathing and at the same time entering the wonderful world of perimenopause, so I thought now might be a good time to run a 5k.
For many of you reading this it won't sound like much of a challenge, but it will be for me and I'd really appreciate your support.
During the pandemic we set up a new charity called Mind Over Cancer. We've had the most incredible 18 months meeting the most amazing people both through supporters and those who have accessed our support. I'm so proud of what we're doing and excited for the future as we grow.
So why am I really doing this challenge? Because we need urgent funds. We need your support now more than ever, because people need our help.
I know it's a hard time to ask people for donations which is why I don't have a huge target, I'd be grateful for any spare pennies you have and can promise you that each and every penny will help us do something amazing for someone.
It's the charities first event and we have a mighty team of runners who will be wearing their charity t-shirts with pride...I know I will cry on the day, Sunday 19th June will be a special day in the charities history.
All messages, jokes, sarcasm, donations and joyful words of support will be gratefully received.
Thank you #PleaseKeepTalking

Not sure why the event is saying it's on the 12th...it's on the 19th!
