Story
In 2012 I decided I’d never try to run more than 10k at a time. So why, all this time later, have I entered the London marathon? Basically, it’s all my sister’s fault!! She has been involved with charities helping people with hearing loss for over 20 years, first with The Ear Foundation and then as a founding member of the team that started Hear Together in 2020.
Hear Together is a small group of experienced professionals and volunteers passionate about helping people live well with hearing loss. They work with deaf and hard of hearing children, teenagers, and adults, providing services to develop confident communication. Their vision is that everyone with hearing loss can participate fully and achieve their potential.
As a hearing aid user myself I know how important hearing is to being able to fully connect with people. And as I have such a close connection to Hear Together through my sister I know how hard they work to try to help all those they come into contact with.
Hear Together receives no Government funding and is funded solely by charitable grants and donations so ANY amount you can sponsor me will make a difference to the work they can do. Your donation will also help me as I desperately try to get around that 26.2miles on October 3rd. (I have to confess the training is KILLING me so knowing of your support will really help me try to keep going!)
