Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Saturday, 29th July 2017, Paul and I will begin our challenge of cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats (LEJOG!) following in the footsteps of my father (Robert Roper)! We have been preparing for this challenge over the last few years with the support of Team Flynn completing a number of Coast to Coast challenges!  Now we are ready for the biggest and final challenge - LEJOG - we shall be covering over 950 miles!  Yikes!  For this challenge we shall be supported by Team Beard!  Thank you!

By completing this challenge we would love to raise money for the Walton Neurological Centre again in memory of my father and to support the amazing care and support that the Centre continues to provide for our family and friends to this day.  It is an international centre of excellence for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with a range of neurological conditions such as epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease, stroke and head injuries.  For those who know us you will remember the incredible life saving brain surgery and fantastic rehabilitation care given to my father there following a road traffic accident when cycling.

So we are hoping friends and family will support us in this challenge by making a donation to our JustGiving page this one last time.  We know Robert (my father) would have been so proud of us and he himself was always so incredibly generous supporting Charity/sponsored events for others.  Thanks everyone!
