Story
I am setting myself a challenge to do at least 70 minutes of exercise each week for the whole of January. This may not seem like a lot to some people but those that know me, and know the chronic pain issues I have, will understand how much of a challenge this will be for me.
I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my lovely Mum, Janet Bailey. Those that knew her know what an inspirational, selfless, caring person she was. It would have been her 70th birthday on January 13th this year. It would mean so much if you could donate whatever you can afford to remember her on her special day.
We sadly lost Mum on 17th December 2017 to a sudden and fatal heart attack. The exact name of what happened is “Hemopericardium ruptured myocardial infarction due to coronial artery atherosclerosis”. She was 65 and had no obvious warning signs.
I have often wondered if it could have been prevented, if there could have been some tests to show that there was any issues that could have stopped it happening. This is why I would like to raise some money for the BHF. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thank you so much x Susanna x
