Running the London Marathon for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is an honour and a delight, (although the training doesn’t always feel very delightful at the time!) 

However knowing why I am doing this and seeing how the money I can raise will be going towards protecting wildlife and supporting the DSWF mission is helping me to lace up may running shoes and get out there.

DSWF’s work raises vital funds to support front line conservation projects which help secure a future for wildlife in their natural habitat.

• They fight environmental and wildlife crime through ranger programmes and law enforcement.
• They engage with communities to educate and raise awareness to reduce threats to wildlife.
• They campaign for stronger wildlife laws and to reduce consumer demand for wildlife products.

Through dedication and hard work they have influenced policy, shifted attitudes and provided an unwavering voice for wildlife conservation from grass roots to the world stage since 1984.

Your support helps to make these changes possible, not only to protect wildlife itself but also the fragile environment which relies on a healthy and biodiverse ecosystem ultimately  benefitting us all wherever we live.
