Susan is running the 2024 London Marathon

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
We lost our grandson in April 2021. Jasper was born full-term but tragically lived for only 22 hours. After an inquest held 2.5 years after his death the coroner found his death to be wholly avoidable and concluded his death was caused by neglect with gross failings from doctors midwife’s & Doctors.
I started running prior to jaspers death but only ever had run 5k park runs and one 10k race. Running helped me greatly and Tommys offering me a place gives me the opportunity to support a charity which helps all mothers fathers & wider family members when a baby loss happens . The support they give to bereaved parents is amazing and something you would never imagine you would need.
I’ve been lucky enough to support Tommys before and feel proud to be able to run again for them and In memory of baby Jasper 🤍👼 every single run I can honestly say I think about him and this gives me the motivation which will greatly help my training .
Tommys is a charity which supports bereaved families through a devastating period and can offer help advice and support . I know how much their work can help so please if you can support my marathon run so I can give something back xx thank you in advance
