WE DID IT!
All of us have now completed the 5k and the 10k. A huge thank you to everyone who supported us and for helping us to raise so much money for this fantastic cause.

Hello lovely person!
Thanks for visiting our 2009 fundraising challenge page.
Anyone who knows either Susie Baxter, Helen Linstead or Annabel Chaston will know that we don't do a lot of running. You won't see us at 6am in the morning taking a quick jog before work and we don't wear a lot of lycra (apart from at weekends!).
So here's our challenge, which we're hoping you'll support. During the next 6 months we'll all be training hard to take part in the following sporting events:
Saturday 7th March - Run Richmond Park - A 5k run. O.k, o.k it may only be 5k, but even a 1k run would be a bit of a stretch at the moment and this seems like a bloody long way to us. Plus there'll be hills
UPDATE - We all completed the 5k run, two of us in under 28 minutes no less! There were 171 participants and our quickest runner, came 33rd (11th out of the women). HUZZAH!
Monday 25th May - 2009 BUPA London 10,000 - A 10k run. That's over 6 miles don't you know!
UPDATE - Helen and Susie both completed the 10k run in a fantastic time of 56 minutes and 21 seconds... that's 844 out of 3812 women runners! YAY! As Annabel picked up an injury earlier in the year and was unable to train for this run, she is now running a 10k on Saturday 4th July instead.
I'm sure you'll agree, that this is a bit of a challenge for us. This is the reason for doing it.................
I'm sure you'll agree, that this is a bit of a challenge for us. This is the reason for doing it.................My lovely friend, Oli, suffers from Cystic Fibrosis - the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. It affects the internal organs clogging them with thick, sticky mucus resulting in infections and inflammation and making it hard to breathe and digest food. Average life expectancy is around 31 years. There is currently no cure.
Seeing Oli in hospital recently during a period of ill health has prompted us to remember just how debilitating the condition can be and just how lucky we are to be relatively healthy. This is why we have decided to challenge ourselves physically and make the most of our fortunate situation for the benefit of those who aren't so fortunate.
So please sponsor us and show us you care! Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cystic Fibrosis Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
With many thanks and lots of love
