Story
I am running in this year's Great North Run in memory of my dear sister-in-law, Kath, who some of you will have known. Kath was a fun-loving lady who really enjoyed life (she loved riding on the scariest of roller-coasters, for example!). She went through a devastating time when her husband (my lovely brother-in-law) Alan was diagnosed with lung cancer, from which he died five years ago at an all-too-young age. Kath eventually had a second chance at happiness when she met Nick. Shockingly, very soon after their meeting Kath developed motor neurone disease, which was relentless in its progress and she finally lost her battle with this disgusting disease in February at the age of 65. More research must be done into this terrible condition and that is why I am asking you - my family and friends - to make even just a small donation to the MND Society. Knowing you have sponsored me will also give me the extra determination to complete the 13.1 miles course on Sunday15th September (it’s getting very close now)! Thank you so much for your support.
Love from Susan x
