We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness
Story
I would like to raise money for the Marie Curie Nurses. My mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2010. She spent 6 weeks in hospital and asked me every day when could she come home. She was finally allowed to come home and between myself and my sisters we cared for my mum in her own home. We found it extremely difficult but we did not want her to go into a hospice. We were introduced to the Marie Curie Nurses. They sat with my mum every night from 10 til 7 and gave us some desperately needed sleep. They offered companionship and emotional support not only to my mum but to us as well. Marie Curie Nurses do a remarkable job
