Two and a half years ago a special person in my life was diagnosed with terminal cancer and died less than two months later. Wendy's reaction to this devastating diagnosis was humbling. Already courageous, she let in life and love, and was generous turning the focus on those who loved her - as she had throughout her life, wanting to support and make them feel better. Her spirit was inspiring, and her love shone. For the last few weeks of her life, a specialist nurse called Sue supported Wendy. I described her as an angel, because she was there for us too. Around 50 teenagers each week are diagnosed with cancer and Teenage Cancer Trust is the only organisation specialising in support for these young people. Their work is essential, unique and life-changing. I am running for them in memory of Wendy.
